THE TEMPLE OF KARAWANG
Who would have thought that
Unur (mound) is located in
the rice field are the ruins of
a temple? I'll bet if you look
directly localized Unur will
surely think the bumps are just piles of brick rubble
ground with here and there,
which look a lot like a
building demolition debris
disposal. Moreover some
goats look is cool shade under the shade of a tree not
far from the location where
Unur is located, which would
further enhance the
mediocre. There are 17 Unur
on this site, one of which was completed on the excavation
of the Temple of the Soul
(S006.05709 - E107.15472),
whereas in the stage of
excavation until this article
was created called the Temple Blandongan
(S006.05598 - E107.15338).
Unur-Unur other really still in
the form of a mound, some of
which have been particularly
a name: shaved, Bald, resin, stone Linga, Linga and Plate.
Intent to let the temples are
still in a mound of earth or
Unur, diakrenakan to avoid
theft / robbery of objects of
cultural heritage by the community. By letting in the
form of a mound, at least will
make it harder for someone
to pick up objects of cultural
heritage, because they have
to dig first. In addition in the form of the temple is also
found also an old well
(S006.05465 - E107.15050) is
located not far from Temple
Blandongan and has covered
the cupola on top. Other parts were also found a large flat
stone (S006.05703 -
E107.15276) are expected to
be used as a writing
prasasasti, but somehow
because of what until now no one is engraved dibatu
tulisanpun it. Allegations
arising, may have been
natural disasters or wars, so
it was a plain flat stone of
inscription / writing.
